Amitabh Bachchan On Surviving Tuberculosis And Hepatitis B, "75% Of My Liver Is Gone"

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has always come forward and spoke about social issues that are important in the society. Be it educating millions about Pulse Polio or about Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, senior Bachchan is pretty vocal about issues that matter. On Monday, Mr Bachchan attended an event in the city that speaks about health. He made some revelations about battling health problems and overcoming them. He said that he doesn't mind publicly accepting that he survived Tuberculosis and Hepatitis B.
During the event, Big B said, "I keep quoting my personal example all the time and try and propagate the idea of getting yourself detected and I don’t mind saying this publicly I am a tuberculosis survivor, Hepatitis B survivor... Bad blood infusion went in and 75% of my liver is gone but because I was able to detect it even after a period of 20 years when 75% of my liver is gone. I am still surviving on 25%."
After helping affected people in Assam, Amitabh Bachchan has now donated Rs 51 Lakh to the relief work for Maharashtra Floods. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has taken to social media, to thank Amitabh Bachchan for the donation.
Talking about professional life, Amitabh Bachchan will be reprising his role as a host in the latest season of India’s most popular game show. Audiences are eagerly waiting for the new season as its set for the grand premiered on August 19 on Sony TV. This new season has a theme of celebrating a common man’s grit and determination. Coming to the new elements; keeping pace with technology, a robo cam has been introduced. Given the nickname of ‘buggy camera’, the operated machine goes around the set to capture dramatic shots of host Amitabh Bachchan, contestants and the live audience.
The Thugs Of Hindostan actor will be next in Gulabo Sitabo with Ayushmann Khurrana. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, Gulabo Sitabo is written by Juhi Chaturvedi of Piku fame. In the film, Big B will essay the role of the owner of a residential property, Patiala House, while Ayushmann Khurana will essay the role of his tenant. Gulabo Sitabo is scheduled to release on April 2020. Next is Ayan Mukerji's Brahmashtra with Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna.
